The day before a show, I decided to explore the cultural surroundings of Xi'an. The Chinese city is known for terracotta sculptures of soldiers to look after the emperor, but originally I was looking for a mountain to lie behind the temple. When I arrived the mountain was gone - it had been moved before they arrived and replaced by a hill, as a local guide explained.
The motif is taken just before sunset, creating a calm and contrast-filled expression with the red fish in the foreground and the reflection of the mountain and the temple in the calm water.
All photographs are taken with a camera Sony A7R VI and with lenses ranging from 8mm to 4mm. The motifs form the framework for unique moments and memories in a great changing world. Photography a passionate free space from an otherwise sometimes stressful everyday life.
